Pluspunten
You honestly can work 40 hours/week nearly every week and do well at this company. The atmosphere is calm. People are less pushy and competitive than other places, especially FAANGs. The SAFe methodology organizes teams by capability, ensures product ownership, and generally adds a consistent organization that is understandable and apolitical.
Minpunten
A 2022-2034 focus on reorg has caused a lot of role changes that not everyone is happy with. The highly collaborative culture is pleasant, but it also means that people that Just Want to Get Sh*t Done are frustrated with the need to socialize and get buy-in for things they could just simply do in other companies. The matrix organization is a bit confusing and leaves you feeling like you have extra bosses. If you don't like SAFe methodology, do not come here, because the company is committed to it. Much as I support DEI, the DEI effort in hiring at Climate is so aggressive that I think it will hire some less-qualified people. And that can end up having the opposite of the intended effect as it erodes the credibility of under-represented minorities in the workplace when their peers don't trust the path to hiring/promotion.
