Pluspunten
Work from home is standard practice (although no support / stipend is offered for home office equipment / expenses etc).
Interesting mission and area of work.
Many dedicated and kind colleagues who truly want to make a difference, particularly below management levels.
Part of an amazing global network and community.
Minpunten
Leadership team is inexperienced and out of touch with the sector and what Cochrane's role in the world is, with poor decisions often reflecting this lack of understanding.
Staff wellbeing is clearly not a priority. There are no meaningful efforts to address overwhelming workload and a lack of transparency around decisions leaves the team feeling disheartened and directionless.
Work culture is toxic and there is an issue with favoritism. Bullying behavior is tolerated, and there’s a lack of accountability for those who create a hostile environment.
No transparency around salaries and pay scales and there are no pay rises, incentives, or bonuses available following annual reviews and meeting of targets, which makes staff feel undervalued and demotivated. There are serious inequities disadvantaging staff outside of the UK.
Career development is non-existent. Little to no training opportunities offered, no clear progression paths, and no encouragement to grow within the organization.
Overall, it’s a workplace that fails to invest in its people, lacks fairness, and is plagued by poor leadership. I would not recommend to anyone seeking a healthy, supportive, or rewarding environment.
