Minpunten

You might get fired on day 9 with no explanation for why. You'll find out that you got fired because during the meeting with HR (when it hasn't happened yet), your computer will log you out and lock you out of everything. HR will then call your personal phone and say "whoops, sorry about that, this isn't a good fit". CEO is a puppet to the CTO. He just doesn't want to deal with the stress of actually being CEO. As executive assistant, there will be absolutely no guidance whatsoever. They'll tell you you're the first hire in this new position. You're going to end up putting up and taking down this guy's halloween decorations for his halloween weekend party at his house. And then creating a spreadsheet counting how many light strings, skeletons, etc. he owns. And he'll tell you that he'll bring a trailer to pack it up. He won't show up and then he'll get mad that you didn't rent a trailer from U-Haul (apparently on your own dime since you don't have a company card). IT sets up your computer incorrectly and then when daylight savings happens, your computer changes time (AZ doesn't do Daylight Savings) so you miss every meeting for a day. You have no control over these settings because everything is locked down. He'll give you a 300page book (either Built to Last or Good to Great, I can't remember) to read and then never bring it up or discuss it // there is seemingly no correlation between this book and your job. Also they'll quote it and say their motto is to "hire slow, fire fast" when they fire you ON DAY 9. Also they'll make you take a Mensa IQ Challenge test and submit your results before you get invited to interview. During the interview, the CTO will tell you his (ENTIRE) life story. He'll fly through it and then ask you questions about yourself and at the very end of the 1 hour long interview, he'll ask you to repeat back his story to you.
