Pluspunten

Benefits are good Loved my coworkers! Doesn’t match 401k 3 weeks vacation Unlimited sick days, but depending on your “manager” you could get scolded. Work from homes depend on again, who your manager is Snacks The CEO is great, I’ve never had a problem with him A lot of the managers are great except for the Transaction and listing department.

Minpunten

No real direction. Some days the company wants to be a “startup” other days they want to act like typical corporate America No Human Resources on site which is a big issue, all station in NY Inconsistency with department managers and actual company policy. It’s either we follow the CEO guidelines or not... no manager is the CEO so it should be pretty straight across the board, right? Wrong. Reverse racism (for me) HR needs to be more present with departments and management, a lot of shady things have been done and said by actual w2 employees and managers Figuring out that being agents in large quantities is VERY different from hiring actual QUALITY. Bully like harassment from my previous manager

Pluspunten

People are smart. Very much a “move fast and break things” culture which can be refreshing compared to bureaucracy-heavy corporate life. I don’t agree with their values (if they have any) but what they’re doing is unquestionably working - business outlook is strong.

Minpunten

Leadership will tell you there’s no ego or self-interest involved in their strategy - that is untrue. It’s an extremely heliocentric culture around the CEO. A lot of the work is based around what people they're guessing he’ll like, but there’s no alignment at the outset and something you worked on for weeks/months will be trashed after one look from him. Their mission is ostensibly about empowering agents but they are solving a problem that pretty much no one was complaining about before they started, and which just so happens to work highly in their favor in terms of market share. It’s just business but very disingenuous- don’t believe the hype that it’s altruistic somehow. Also the CEO loves to share his sob story about his single mother upbringing, but simultaneously enacts some of the most anti-parent policies you could think of.
