Pluspunten
I joined CompassX from a mid-sized consulting firm and so far it's been a great move. I feel like my perspectives and experience are valued and are seen as a benefit to the company, and the people who I work with really seem to care.
The work itself feels meaningful, with interesting projects where each win (big or small) seems to have a big impact and celebrated by everyone. Since joining, the practice areas seem to be evolving and maturing, and I've been able to sharpen my skills by being pushed outside my comfort zone at times.
Unlike my last company, there are no mandatory CompassX office days, but I know where the leaders or colleagues are each week if I want to meet in person. I've also enjoyed the in person events and other team meet ups,
Minpunten
As it's a small firm, sometimes there can be missing pieces or gaps e.g. there aren’t always standardized tools, predefined templates or playbooks like at larger consultancies. Sometimes this means more freedom to do things your own way, but can be frustrating if starting from scratch too often.
The teams are pretty lean so work can get busy for short bursts of time to meet client expectations. Also need to be willing to wear multiple hats or flex into other areas to keep the show on the road.
