Pluspunten
I can't say enough good things about Compassion. I've been here almost eight years, and I have no plans of changing that any time soon. The holistic model they have for child sponsorship. They have a similar holistic view of their employees. There's a strong focus on work-life balance. They make a generous contribution to our retirement plans.
I may not have this quote exactly right, but I believe the president of Compassion has said, "The most important thing about you to Compassion is not what you do, but it's who you are." And I believe him.
Minpunten
No place is perfect, and the bigger they are, the less perfect they are. I wish it didn't take as long as it does to bring about change when it is needed, but it's a big ship and it's slow to turn. However, to paraphrase a funny quote, "Compassion is a lot like pizza. Even when it's bad, it's still pretty good."
