Pluspunten
1. Satisfying work. When things are flowing there is a great sense of pride and achievement in a days work. Practically no one is ever figuratively waiting for 5pm. 2. Often have great colleagues, from all walks of life. Which creates a pleasant and interesting work atmosphere. 3. Autonomy. In most of the time I have worked here there has been little meddling or micro-management of day to day affairs. 4. Ever-growing company, and opportunities to expand roles/tasks are often there. 5. 9 out of 10 people seems very happy with their workload, and have very few have any major grievances over salaries/benefits for this work. *I feel the need to point out as well that ComputerCare are very respectful of the private lives of their employees. I rarely felt ComputerCare issues where being brought home, or that work would infringe on my personal life.
Minpunten
1. Communication can be lacking at times. Messages or queries not addressed. 2. Whilst the company operates across the globe, the attitude is very much rooted in California, and the understanding of work and societal norms is set there. This has been highlighted, and a sense of empathy has not been provided. 3. As well as this there can be times where you feel like an after thought or even forgotten about completely. Often a company wide communication will be forgot to get sent to our site. Or new company protocols will be ignorant to the fact that we are a different country, time zone, currency, employment law, etc. 4. Unlike almost all of their peers and competitors in Dublin, they do not offer 5 sick/emergency days, which is a sticking point for many. And a stumbling block for keeping on staff/attracting others. 5. Company can often be reactive in it's activity, as oppose to pro-active.
