I’ve enjoyed working for Conservice and have appreciated the flexibility that remote work has provided over the years. However, I’m disappointed by the recent decision requiring remote employees who live within 30 miles of the corporate office to return to the office three days per week. For many employees, this change creates additional expenses for gas, vehicle maintenance, and commuting time without any increase in compensation or reimbursement. With the current cost of fuel and living expenses, this feels like a significant burden for employees who have been successfully performing their jobs remotely. What is most frustrating is that employees have consistently proven they can be productive and effective while working from home. The flexibility offered by the company has been one of its greatest benefits, and this policy change removes much of that value. It’s also difficult to understand the reasoning behind the requirement when many leadership and corporate-level positions do not appear to be held to the same in-office expectations. Policies are often better received when leadership leads by example, and the inconsistency makes this decision feel unfair to those being asked to absorb the additional time and expense of commuting. Unfortunately, I believe this change will lead some talented employees to leave the company because they may not be able to accommodate the added costs and disruption to their work-life balance. While I have genuinely enjoyed working for Conservice and appreciate many aspects of the company, this decision has been disappointing and has negatively impacted my view of its commitment to employee flexibility and retention

Pay, hoops needed to jump through to make positive changes, in office work (distractions) when majority of team is remote. It’s expected to drive within 30 miles (30 minutes in my case) of the office to work a full shift with no flexibility. If I need to make adjustments with my schedule for my family’s sake, I’m expected to drive 30 minutes home to deal with those situations, then drive 30 minutes back into office to finish my schedule or else I have to use PTO or 1/20 of my work from anywhere days. It’s not even half way though the year and I’ve had to use 10 work from anywhere days to be able to work at home to deal with family needs and situations. This company is turning into a corporate America company that doesn’t care about employees and makes us choose between family and our job with no flexibility of making things up at home. I miss when Dave was in charge! Life was so much better back then! Profit sharing, dine with Dave, FLEXIBILITY!
