Cook Systems offered me a chance to prove myself through there FastTrack’d program. I have always dreamed of working in the IT Industry as a Software Developer. Unfortunately for me going back to school for an extended period of time was not an option. That’s when I discovered the FastTrack’d program. For months I had researched and tried to figure out if this was the right path for me. I had my doubts since the program sounded too good to be true. After being laid off from my job, it seemed like a good chance to enter the program. For me the program turned out to be exactly what I needed to get my foot in the door. The program is no walk in the park. It will challenge you and leave you questioning “What did I get myself into?” The teachers are down to earth and will help you every step of the way. You can tell it is there mission to help you succeed in this career. They do host various events to help alleviate the stress of the program and reward you for passing the various assessments you will be taking during the program. Let it be noted that people will be cut. Those typically are looking for a free easy ride and don’t want to put in the hard work to achieve their goals. Besides not everyone is cut out to be programmer. After completing the program I have no regrets. They care about the students they bring in. You will gain technical skills and be developed interpersonally. You are taught how to communicate effectively and deal with situations in a corporate environment. They also bring in clients to give insight into the industry. This is extremely helpful, especially if you have never been a part of that type of environment. Cook System is open to ideas and constructive criticism from the students to help make the program even better. I was offered a position and placed within the first two weeks of graduating class. I am very happy with my placement. My client is great and has been helpful and understanding in the whole process. Cook System has also been in touch often to make sure all is well and answer any questions I may have. I've also had no trouble getting a hold of someone at the office to answer questions.
