"Account Managers" have no idea what they are doing or how to obtain/retain accounts. They stay in the main office for the most part instead of being more consistently onsite at the accounts, to maintain relationships with the clients. Surface level support for their own employees when projects are struggling and lots of SOW confusion.. massive lack of work ethic. Lots of internal coffee breaks and lunch breaks while employees are trying to keep their heads above water at the client. They let you die out on the bench because they don't have consistent accounts/relationships with clients, and have put all their eggs in one basket (one company) and are flailing to find more business. Sadly, enough they don't try hard enough to keep their employees, they are very casual about the lack of projects and letting people go while maxing out the bench. Bench policy Month 1 : Half pay and benefits Month 2: NO pay and benefits Month 3: You're let go and done as an employee... (yet, they continue to hire more people) HIGH TURNOVER They are poaching from other companies with the higher pay and false promises Account team will submit a consultants resume to a potential client, asking if the client has any work the consultant can help with VS the normal process of a consulting company. Some instances not even tell you they have submitted you... so good luck if you know that client and it wasn't a good experience . Not only does Coppei look bad but so does the Consultant. If it was a good relationship, everyone looks foolish still... Some AM's tend to also push and bully consultants into connecting them with their connections to obtain business. If you don't feel comfortable they will keep pressuring you to set up a meeting etc ... sign of desperation. They will also scour your LinkedIn profile to see who you know.
