Pluspunten
The independence of not being under an immediate supervisor in a department. Being able to travel from site to site in your own van. Being on your iwn in the van, no politics or negative group dynamics, to deal with like you have in hospital (ie: egotistical personalities, negative talk about absent techs, etc.-all stuff I had to endure as a student.). Another plus is you will get to xray all body parts including skull/sinuses, and you won’t have to deal with OR or fluoro.
Minpunten
The equipment is not maintained on a regular basis. Often things are not fixed or replaced until they break. The radiology side of the company is understaffed, requiring some techs to travel hundreds of miles outside of their territory, and other techs to be overloaded with orders that cannot be completed in one shift.
