Reducing the number of hours

Working at CourseHorse was a really exciting and challenging experience. I worked with an amazing team of very dedicated individuals who are great at what they do, hungry to learn and grow as professionals, and always ready to accept new challenges. The team was the greatest pro for me because it kept me motivated. I also loved that the startup environment allowed me to take on new roles and responsibilities as priorities changed, so I was able to add quite a bit to my resume quickly. Other pros: -class scholarships (got to take local classes each month) -experimental projects allow for new ideation -team outings/retreat -unlimited PTO

There was always a lot of work to do and because the team is small, there was a culture of being "always-on." It sometimes made it difficult to take a vacation and really switch off. Other cons: -frequent shifts in priorities/changing projects (this can be both good and bad) -senior leadership was sometimes hazy because of the small team -hard to know if you were doing a good job as an individual contributor
