As a manager I was expected to constantly cut payroll and make up the hours myself. No one had help to give and I was told it was my responsibility to staff my store. I understand the thought process but unfortunately I was already working 55+ hours a week, and wasn't going to spend my one day off with my family recruiting. There were months at a time where I worked 6 days a week. I was told I was the "CEO of my business" yet my opinions about my store where never taken seriously. Crown was a wonderful place to work and I had the best team, but support from upper management fell apart and the employees in the stores are the ones suffering. I could tell that it was a sinking ship and luckily, I got out before it imploded. After I left, my spiffs were not paid out on my last check and I got the run around from my DM and HR. It's amazing how you can dedicate YEARS of your life to a company, never saying no to them, bending over backwards, and they don't seem to care.
