The full and final settlement process took over two months and was only completed after escalation to external authorities. Lack of alignment with local labor laws — internal policies were applied inconsistently and often conflicted with regulatory requirements. Communication from respective functions was delayed and inconsistent throughout the exit process. Repeated follow-ups were required to get clarity on unpaid leave and end-of-service benefit calculations, with no timely resolution. Final Settlement Agreement contained discrepancies and was sent multiple times without addressing earlier concerns. Offboarding process was poorly managed — in my 18 years of professional experience (13 of them in the Middle East), this was the most difficult and frustrating exit I've experienced. There seems to be a lack of accountability and ownership within support functions during offboarding.
