Pluspunten
It's great if you love our current Attorney General because that's where everyone is coming from to work at DIR and it's a very tight knit clique. You grow close to coworkers since you are working late and in long meetings so if you are a fan of forced camaraderie, this is an excellent fit for you.Since everything is always changing and nothing stays the same, you have the opportunity to learn many things and experience lots of lessons.
Minpunten
There is a constant requirement of attending meetings-up to sometimes 60 percent of the day. Management requires them to be conducted on camera. There is a high degree of turnover in the procurement section which means there are lots of careless errors happening along with very little institutional knowledge preserved. There is a strong preference to get deals done. “At all costs” with little regard for outside auditor concerns. There is never a dull moment and there is a continuous stream of customer demands so if you have a preference of no down time, this is also a plus for you. They do not accommodate people with disabilities and will go out of their way to steam roll you if you have the audacity to require additional time or attention. Meetings last up to three hours long WITHOUT BREAKS. Toxic positivity and disengous behavior from the “HR” department/management makes for an unpleasant work environment The onboarding process is non existent. You are expected to just know how things work and clients are extremely unreasonable. Culture of constant turnover breeds chaos and blaming. Pro tip to managers; When employees have to work 14 hours a day to their jobs done, you are disrespecting your existing people and are understaffed.
