Very sorry to read this feedback. Please put facts on the table if you believe what you are saying is true. We will set things right if we have made any mistakes. Otherwise, we request you to not throw dirt on others and mislead anybody. I believe I know who you are. Your performance was just about ok at our client for somebody with 0-1 year experience and non IT background. You have a degree in Journalism - unrelated to IT Your total experience after working at Drishticon for a year was just that much You still wanted us to pay you salary comparable to high end performers with 10 years + of domain specific experience and deep technical knowledge. We refused to entertain this request. Hence you are upset. And during this one year and 4 months of your association with Drishticon 1. You were paid full promised salary @ $45 K per year for 1st three months 2. You were paid revised salary per your request @$60K per year for another about 6 months - to help you with higher cost of living in SFO. 3. You were paid revised salary of $72K per year from 10th month of employment. 4. You were paid revised salary of $80K per year with a promise of annual bonus of $5K starting after 11th month of initial employment. 5. You were non billable for Drishticon for first 5 months of employment and was billable at a reduced rate to help cover our costs for next 3 months - yet you got fully paid- an investment of over $25K to help you succeed in IT. You were paid at full market rate for 1-3 year experienced person from after 8th month of your start of employment with Drishticon 6. As your performance was just about ok and budgets were low at end of year- client decided to terminate your project contract after taking your services for about 11+ months As we all believed you have potential to learn and grow, we had requested and got support from client to continue to let you work on the project even if it means no profit for Drishticon for a couple of months. 7. You quit at this point and put this negative feedback. Please think what you have done here. You invested 2 years at the Charitable 42 Institute to learn and build skills in IT. Even though they have a good IT Placement facility, Unfortunately you could not land a job in the IT industry in Bay area. You did tell us you got a job offer in LA for similar pay as ours- you did not want to go to LA - so you took our offer. You were tired of just reading and not getting any real experience. We came forward to help you succeed...we look at our success was linked to your success We have delivered everything as per mutually agreed terms and done more wherever possible. Yet you have thrown dirt at us. God bless you and we wish you all the very best in your future career and life. To all readers- We help people who want to launch an IT career and want a good experience and unfortunately are unable to succeed in achieving this on their own. I have written in several response posts in the past - our salary grades are lower than the market. We do not do any favor to anybody. We are grateful to people who choose Drishticon to launch their IT careers and put their faiths in our hands. In return for your faith in Drishticon to help you launch your IT career and further your career goals, we provide you 1. the career break opportunity 2. money that we can afford 3. the mentorship and experience 4. Knowledge 5. A decent professional work environment We only hope to recover our investment and make some profits over a year of billable services that we get for you. We operate differently as we are not a charitable institute nor are we an agency business We look to hire good talented individuals who are primarily motivated to acquire knowledge to launch their IT Career. We cover such talented individuals for as long as it takes - full promised salary paid on time - till they get a billable project, even if it takes over a year to get a billable project. Only condition - they should be working in our labs and our client projects to build their skills and experience sincerely. No bonds of any kind on paper. Employment is always "At Will" We will not be a good employer if your primary motivation is only money - we say this upfront before you accept our job offer. Having learnt the lesson, we ourselves will reject candidates where we sense money is higher priority than knowledge and experience. It is not good for the candidate and it is not good for us - as this case demonstrates.
