My experience at the Maidstone DX Delivery site was so damaging and demoralising that I eventually nicknamed it Demon Express. That name came from how it felt to work there. In my view, it was like being in the pits of hell every shift. The Maidstone DX Delivery site was one of the most discouraging and disheartening work environments I have ever encountered. From what I personally witnessed, leadership roles appeared to be concentrated within one family. This was something visible on site, and it created a closed and exclusionary atmosphere where genuine progression felt impossible for anyone outside that circle. The difference in how people were treated was impossible to ignore. In my experience, people of colour were judged far more harshly than others and were often blamed for things that did not reflect what actually happened. I saw hardworking colleagues spoken to with little respect while others, who did far less, seemed to benefit from leniency and support. The imbalance was exhausting and deeply unfair. The workload was severe and completely unrealistic. There were nights when two or three of us were expected to complete the tasks of an entire team because staff failed to show up and nothing was done to address it. The pressure on those who actually worked was immense. Appreciation was almost nonexistent and the atmosphere felt more punishing than productive. The behaviour from certain managers made the situation worse. I experienced shouting, humiliation in front of others and comments that had nothing to do with the work. It often felt like authority was being used to intimidate rather than lead. Once someone decided who to blame, it felt as though facts and truth did not matter. Many talented and dedicated staff left during my time there. Several told me that they left because the treatment they experienced was unacceptable or because the environment drained them. I felt the same. Trying to thrive in a place that refuses to value you or treat you fairly is nearly impossible. In my view, the work culture at the Maidstone site is toxic and completely unsustainable for anyone who has ever been part of a healthy or respectful working environment. I never saw people of colour progressing. I never saw their efforts recognised. What I saw was a culture that seemed to push them aside while pretending nothing was wrong. I am sharing this because future employees deserve to know what they are stepping into. I hope this site chooses to change, because the way it operates now harms good people and wastes the potential of those who genuinely want to work hard and do well. I do not recommend anyone working here. If you wish to remain sane, avoid this place at all costs!
