This is a really toxic work environment, friends of the owner or people who are very close advisors have all the control. If you are on their good side then the world will shift for you, if not good luck.
I have seen first hand several people get surprised “demoted” with no chance to improve performance. Management gives very little direction about what the position is and then will change it on a moment's notice. You will get hired for one "job," told to do a completely different "job," told you're not doing that "job" well, and then demoted for doing things completely out of your wheelhouse.
The financial stability is really questionable. You'll hear at one point that the company has been in existence for years but any LinkedIn search will show that the owner of the company claims all working experience as the company "existing" which it highly concerning. It really is a start up and while the two or three people at the top are going on vacation you'll be wondering where your next check is going to come from.
If you check the dates all of the sudden there are a bunch of rave reviews following the first negative review. The first five star review is from the management days after the first negative review.
Be prepared for meetings where you have to watch people play with their dogs when you could be doing something better.
