There's so much happening in Apache Cassandra now and its surrounding ecosystem. It's been in hiatus for a while while things stabilised and the community broaden amongst different companies. With the recent change of leadership many of the new Cassandra features and supporting tools that were private and/or proprietary and coming back to open source, making it an exciting time and DataStax the place to be.
