Pluspunten
I disagree with the previous reviewer. Developing Experts was a great place for me to work for over two years. They provide a fun yet challenging environment to work in where people are motivated and friendly, including the owner who has her employees best interests at heart. It is a startup business so one has to expect things to change and for different people to be required at different stages of its development. Working here offered me amazing insight into the business world, having come from a teaching background this was invaluable. I learnt about exhibiting, marketing, finance and software development and was offered opportunities I never thought existed. This job did wonders for my mental health, it never felt like “working” but being part of something special. The product Developing Experts has is superb and is testament to the team that have worked there, but also the owner - who has often worked long weeks and hours to provide for the company what’s needed. To say that staff have been dispensable is not true, no-one was more upset than the owner when changes / cuts had to be made. The business is now back on its feet and moving in a different direction and not only providing teachers with excellent resources but also promoting careers in STEM.

I guess the uncertainty when job cuts were made was difficult because we had a great team but I understood why. Again, like any start-up, mistakes are made and bad advice taken but that is part of the learning journey!!!
