Pluspunten
- Very human oriented workspace where the physical and mental health is a priority, despite the cons listed below. Because of the low bar we set, if it's simply a job for you, you'll be happy. If you want to grow, it might be more of a challenge. - Offices located in Lavaltrie, off the island of Montreal. Easy to access, calm and relaxed environment. - Very good insurance coverage - RRSP contributions - Remote work possible a few days a week - Flexible teams allowing employees to the position that's right for them and helps the company grow. - Provided hardware is high quality, performant and often updated. - Offices are very well maintained - Snacks, drinks, breakfast and kitchen provided - Ping-pong table, pool table, golf simulator, pinball machines, and much more.
Minpunten
- Salaries are lower than the rest of the industry, and management will tell you that there's a value in being in Lavaltrie compared to Montreal. - The bonus structure is only based on company performance and everyone gets the same bonus (based on years in the company). This does not incentivize giving your 100% and is absolutely reflected in people's work. - Management has a hard time with change. Improving processes, which would guarantee a high quality output is not a priority. Some work is being done but the company is growing too quickly for its own good. - No rigorous testing is being done on new releases, causing a ton of regressions and unhappy clients. Automation would help, but that means changing processes and ways of doing things. - RDM (the main product) is the leader in its niche, and I'm afraid that clients simply have no choice but to buy our product. Don't get me wrong, it does solve a big problem and customers are generally happy. That being said, there's not enough thought put into the quality of the output. This puts a huge amount of stress and anxiety on the developers and most importantly on the support team.
