Pluspunten
DocuSign was genuinely a great place to work until two weeks ago.
Minpunten
DocuSign had a perks program during the pandemic entitled DocuSign Cares. Two weeks ago, though, the company laid off 9% of employees, or roughly 900 people by internal estimates. A lot of those folks had been at the company for multiple years, some 5+, but were laid off as part of a "restructuring plan" that named over-hiring during the pandemic as the main reason for restructuring. The laying off was handled extremely poorly by leadership, who took to referring to employees as "bodies" during their all-hands call on the subject. "We threw too many bodies at our problems in the past." DocuSign's leadership has been tactless during the process, but more troublingly, the decision to make layoffs was a major departure from the company's stated culture of cultivating trust and love for our customers and fellow employees. DocuSign cares? More like DocuSign cared.
