Pluspunten
I first started at ECI in 2006 not yet one week out of college, when the company was at about 12 employees. It was a rough start as a new grad, but also a nurturing environment in which a young developer can grow and thrive in their profession.
After a solid five years with ECI, I left in 2012 (in good standing) to pursue graduate studies in Liberal Arts, and after six years of study and the completion of two Master's, I had a great desire to return to software development. In 2019, after a seven year hiatus, ECI welcomed me back with open arms as if I was family.
Now with over 100 employees, ECI as grown drastically since my first tour of duty. As such, the overall software development process has matured considerably, adopting and adhering to both Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Additionally, the overall atmosphere has become a comfortable, relaxed, and friendly environment with an "open-door" policy with supervisors, project managers, even the President and CEO. This "family-like" ethos contributes to an overall employee satisfaction which can be difficult to find in software development, especially with "big" companies.
Overall, the atmosphere at ECI is relaxed, friendly, family-like, and stable. A perfect environment in which developers can learn and grow their career. I am happy to be a part of "Team ECI" both now and for years to come!
Minpunten
Salaries tend to be on the lower end, but as the market for software developers has become increasingly competitive, ECI has adapted to these changing trends and should continue to do so.
