Pluspunten
Because the team is relatively small at EI theres heaps of opportunity to put your hand up and get involved in all sorts of projects. Pretty good learning opportunities. The team is close-knit. Daily breakfast was a great perk as well. The 2 minute desk massages every 6 months were also nice.
Minpunten
Some leaders are very inexperienced in managing people and can't empathise at all. There isn't any accountability with some decisions so they pretty much get away with anything, including terrible, unreasonable performance management. Their training program they offer was roughly a 10% induction on company values and 90% figure the actual job out on your own. EI also encourages an unrealistic work ethic that involves staying back regularly after hours, working through your breaks and taking your work home. Employees always need to be available to work on public holidays, including during the Christmas closedown period. The career progression was more of a 'bait and switch' to encourage employees to stay in the company longer, there isn't really much room to grow and senior positions are typically always filled externally.
