The location I worked at had a laid back atmosphere and it was a lot of fun to come in everyday. I made great friendships with coworkers and really enjoyed the people I worked with. Schedule was stellar. There was no pressure to work overtime. Work/Life balance was fantastic. John Wood recently started at Encompass and I see him making some very positive changes for the company as a whole. He seems to have the employees and customers best interest in mind. Encompass was also making great attempts to include people in strategic initiatives by participating in Kaizen events.

Opportunities to move anywhere in the company are far and few between. If you have a concern or new ideas there will likely be no follow through. I felt as though peoples skills, knowledge and eagerness were not properly utilized. It also does not help that reviews never happened and reviews are more than a time to grant or deny raises. Reviews are to assess an employees performance and foster their growth, which ultimately benefits everyone involved. Speaking of raises, the company was in a wage freeze for many, many years (this may have changed since I left). I did not personally care as I was looking to gain useful experience to grow professionally but many employees who have worked there for 10, 15, 20+ years went over 7 years without any increase. Needless to say, they were underpaid.
