Bad leadership. Existing issues aren't fixed, making it harder to sell, but they expect you to sell more anyways. Most of this is due to the fact that the leadership has no real knowledge of actual construction. They are office jockeys. Products are priced too high to sell to most demographics. Bad for commissions. Commissions are based on profit margin, but DSMs have no control over estimating, manufacturing, or shipping. If there are issues in any of these areas that cost, it will affect the DSM's commission. Upper management will get pushy if you aren't selling, but will not address the underlying issues.
