I rarely post negative reviews but England deserves one. I wasn't let go. I left on my own to take another opportunity. I have 15 years of sales, sales management, and leadership experience and was paid $32,000 a year because I didn't have a degree. I see the value in education, but for some people, an education isn't possible. The job I left England for, vales me, my experience, and has a culture that walks what it talks. I now make a base salary of $75k, and I say that not to draw personal attention but to let people know that England is a place that values your education over experience, which in the professional areas is outdated.
- A huge percentage of their payroll spend is targeted to management.
- The opportunity for advancement is very poor. They create positions for advancement, but the increase in pay is minimal, to say the least.
- Management jobs are limited.
- The ratio of managers to teams is about 25:1, but the managers do get paid really well. Too well, because the salaries of everyone else, are way below average in Utah, and nationally.
- I have heard opinions from many different people since I left England Logistics and they do not have a healthy reputation in Utah.
- I left to take another opportunity. They do not value experience.
- They require a degree for their account managers, which is a joke. I worked with 22 year old account managers that had degrees in exercise science, history, engineering, nursing, etc.
- Very few managers have experience in leadership
- Typical top-down call center management and environment
