If you are considering contracting here, please be aware that contract roles appear to be unstable, and termination can happen with little to no notice. Contracting is common at this company, so this is important for candidates to understand upfront.
In addition, day-to-day management lacked clarity. My direct supervisors rarely provided clear direction on projects or weekly priorities. Despite being paid at a senior consulting rate, much of my role consisted of administrative work, primarily taking notes. Attempts to ask thoughtful questions, learn the business, lead discussions, or build relationships with senior leaders were discouraged. Contractors were expected to observe quietly rather than actively contribute.
This did not align with the experience level required for the role or the compensation. It often felt like the company simply needed “warm bodies” to support a project that was behind schedule, rather than investing in contractors’ success or professional growth. In hindsight, it seems likely the role was always intended to be short-term, despite being presented as longer-term and potentially permanent.
