Pluspunten
The problem they are trying to solve with their product is really unique and looks promising. The problem statement can offer good growth to AI/ML enthusiasts.
Minpunten
Well, as the heading says, everything else is left desired. From processes, to implementations, to policies and everything in between. As an engineer, you are supposed to deliver the deliverables on time, but what needs to be delivered is yet to be decided. Priority changes more often than the minute figure on digital clock. You are supposed to work hard to meet the hard ( already long passed) deadlines. So, the management expects you to work atleast 10 hours a day. For startup culture, not a problem. The managers will conveniently come up with very important tasks on Friday, and everyone is verbally mandated to work on Saturday, like any other working day, though that is considered an off day from every other perspective. On Saturday evening, your manager will remind you a long list of documentation you are supposed to have completed long ago and suggest ( read order) you to finish that up on Sunday. And in 90% cases, you will be the only one to ever look at those documents to revise. Did I mention how long you need to work everyday? Oh I think I did. But that doesn't include the times you spend in meetings and calls. Morning, you start with a 1.5 hour long standup, consisting no less than 20 persons, usually around 10-10:30, which the product manager can conveniently delay at the last second in case they are busy, but its an issue if you join late. A status call not before 11PM in the evening ( yes, thats considered evening), where you will be enlightened with the FACT that whatever you worked on during the day was priority indeed, but not the burning issue, which was identified just now over the call ( but existed in Jira for a long time), and needs to be done before morning. Variables can be lost due to some clerical or finance error ( atleast it happened in my case), and would need some time to be rectified. Mine was supposed to be given to me an year ago with year Dec 2020 Salary received in Jan 2021. Was supposed to be processed with FnF ( still waiting, more on this later). Due to the extensive work hours and partially me not being the energetic age ( late thirties), I started having health issues in Jan last year. So, for the first time in my career I resigned without an offer in hand, and requested for an early relieving. Which was granted to me on the condition of completing a few important tasks, which I completed in 2 weeks with hard work ( since atleast now I knew what I had to do, and priorities were not changing again and again and was not mandated to attend thoss meetings). And I was granted an early relieve, with buyback ( isn't that supposed to be a right of employee without any added clauses?). At the time of filing the taxes, I noticed that the Form 16 shared with me and 26AS did not match. I was promised to have the rectified document soon and go ahead with my tax filing as per 26AS, which I did. Still waiting on rectified document. And, I believe FnF is the last interaction an employee ( or former employee) has with their organization, I have yet to receive my FnF settlement details. When asked HR about it, they said it was adjusted against my dues on buyback. Well, considering my due variable, about 40 days salary and 45 odd days buyback, I doubt those words. But, in any case, it is my right and their responsibility to provide the FnF settlement details without me asking for it. But I am still waiting for it even after I have requested formally for the same. Guys, join this organization, if you are fine not being able to look at your family's faces even while living in the same house for days ( happened with me, my mother waited a week to be able to talk to me, which could only happen when I went to drop her to my brother's place). And you do not mind being left hanging in state which may have federal consequences. And finally, when you consider your due salary 0 post resignation. On glassdoor their is another company, " yTrre Software Solutions', it is the same organization. The views mentioned above are all fact and based on my own experience with the organization. I am pretty sure I will be identified based on the details I mentioned here. I am posting it here for everyone to understand what you may be facing if you join. For HR/Management of the company, during my tenure, I brought all these points again and again in the view of everyone, to have proper processes in place for solution. A lot was discussed and planned but nothing was implemented. Regarding the issues I mentioned related to Fom16, there is no denying to it, and even after escalating to the CEO, there was no change at all, the reply of the concerned person same as after the commitment from CEO + 10 days. As for FnF, it has been ignored by the HR. Even after I raised it as a concern on skype, the only reply I got was "It was adjusted against your buyback", Though as I mentioned above I never received any settlement details, nor do I understand the calculation how it was adjusted. It has been over a couple of weeks I raised it formally over email, but I do not even have a promise or an acknowledgement of lapse or something is being done.
