the sales team loves micromanagement. because they are such ineffective leaders and managers, they have to result in tactics such as forcing remote / hybrid sales reps to come in-office as 'punishment' if they're behind on their targets (which makes zero sense, because apparently this company had its best years during COVID when everyone had to work remote LOL). they will message you at any and all hours of the day and night and weekends/holidays because they view each deal as so critical it can't wait until normal business hours. they regularly praise those who answer emails and work in the middle of the night, on weekends, on vacation, etc. creating a toxic culture where you feel the need to be always online. they think they are building the next great thing but, it's literally just ads bro, it's not that serious in case the other reviews didn't give it away, this company just did its 4th round of layoffs in 2 years, so there are a lot of disgruntled employees coming here to voice their concerns. which isn't surprising at all, Dwayne the CEO has said he idolizes Elon Musk so I'm sure he enjoys layoffs. the main problem with these layoffs and issues the company is having, is that not a single person in leadership and/or management has had to take accountability for the failures of this company over the last 2 years. I mean, if you were CEO for example, when would you step down? Would it be after a colossal security screw up, where $9 million was stolen by essentially an entry level employee within their first 3 months of hire? Would it be after your first round of layoffs, where 30% of the company had to be cut after a year of your own wasteful and thoughtless spending and hiring? Or how about after the bulk of your customers lost their website traffic and had their businesses vanish, due to Google SEO ranking loss, despite you touting for years your partnership with Google and how your product 'helps improve SEO'? the same goes for the sales leadership team. for YEARS, each month this company has maybe 20% of their reps meeting targets (even lower than that this year because everyone is burnt out). you would think the sales leads or the "sales director" would take some of the blame for this, whether it's setting the targets unrealistically, hiring poorly, training poorly, etc. but no, the leadership is absolutely untouchable at Ezoic despite company-wide failure after failure after failure. my final example of the insanity of the leadership of this company, is that they decided their 'focus' aka 'how we're going to get out of this hole', is to shift the company's focus to cramming websites with crappy unwanted video content and try to sell Ezoic to large/enterprise level customers. It's LAUGHABLE that they think ANY enterprise level business would trust them with their ads. just look at their reputation, built over years, as a scammy, low quality ad platform.
