This company is a masterclass in how to destroy a once-great culture through terrible communication, insatiable hunger for growth for growth’s sake, and abandoning your core values. 
 When I joined, the culture was legitimately strong. People cared about one another. There was personality, trust, and a real sense of community. Over time, leadership chose growth, optics, and scale over everything else, and allowed that culture to slowly wither and die. This decision could only be seen as intentional as time went on. Employees had been very vocal about the decline. 

Growth and expansion was the MOST important thing. And leadership treated us as simpletons, using platitudes such as “in order to have more positive impact in the world, we need to keep growing so that impact can expand”. 

 Sometimes you want more just because you want…MORE. It’s a common human fault, and it’s on that Fearless leadership caved to. 

 In three years, my total raise amounted to roughly 4% combined. Not per year. Total. This despite increased responsibility, expanded scope, and ever-growing expectations. That alone should tell any prospective employee exactly how “valued” long-term contributors are. When I was laid off, I received two weeks of severance after three years of service. And to make matters worse, the company refused to pay out my accrued PTO, because the state I lived in didn’t legally require them to. Since the law didn’t demand decency, leadership opted out of it. That decision speaks volumes. Their on-deck policy was one of the main reasons I was excited to start at this company. But now, if you know your contract is coming to a close, don’t look to Fearless to help you maintain employment. Start planning your exit plan, and get that resume updated. 

 The operational ineptitude was just as telling. During the layoff call, employees are instructed to submit their final timesheet themselves, while at the same time the company is actively cutting off access to the Google suite required to log into the time-tracking system. It’s a small moment, but a revealing one: disorganized, poorly thought through, and emblematic of leadership that hasn’t bothered to map the human impact of their own processes. All the while, this was a task the could’ve taken care of themselves. 
 The decline wasn’t subtle. It became painfully clear the ship was sinking when critical pillars of the company, people who carried the culture, mentored others, and held teams together, started jumping ship. That should have been a massive warning sign. Leadership ignored it and forged ahead anyway, convinced that a wider profit margin could heal all ills. 
 Even the company’s external presence reflects this rot. Fearless has castrated the website, stripping it of any character, warmth, or identity it once had, replacing it with a soulless, dystopian AI-flavored monstrosity that perfectly mirrors what the company has become internally: hollow, sanitized, and devoid of humanity. Their slogan USED to be "Building Software with a Soul". That language is pointedly missing now. This is not a place that invests in people. Not anymore. It’s a place that extracts value until it can’t anymore, then discards employees with platitudes, minimal severance, and a shrug that says, “It’s just business.” If you’re talented, thoughtful, or care about working somewhere with integrity, room for growth, and stability, do not waste your time here. The version of this company that once made it special is gone. Leadership killed it. And they’re still pretending nothing is wrong.
