Pluspunten
Paid every week. Very easy job to do, occasionally. Job security - a hard job to lose Company match 401(k) - I guess they can match pretty well since the salary is trash to begin with. Plenty of hours if you have no life of any kind outside of work.
Minpunten
The pay is awful compared to other trucking jobs. Without any seniority they will mess your schedule up to where you will work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift all in the same week-- which is unhealthy and dangerous. Management will ask you to bend the rules for their benefit but will turn around and throw the book at you for any misstep. Benefits are nowhere near what the company plays them up to be. Management is a joke - big surprise. Management will pander to the 6-digit employee numbers who sit in their truck sleeping all day while they dump their entire route on the new drivers who make way less money. Raises are a joke. They advertise a 10-step progression pay increase that takes 20+ years to top out. Equipment is run down, trucks with over a million miles on them yet the company continues to brag about growth, profits, and stock prices. Management will manipulate your hours so they can pay you as much straight time as possible without OT. You will never get a daytime route for a minimum of 20 years so don't ever think you'll get one in a reasonable amount of time. Unless you own a route you're a butt in a seat, nothing more.
