Pluspunten

a wholly owned subsidiary of Apple, inc. is a major plus, you get all the Apple benefits. There are some great talented people there. Work/life balance

Minpunten

A lot of politics in upper management. Don't go to HR with any of your concerns, just remember they are not there to help employees but help the company. Also, you are not anonymous if you go to HR, the whole company will find out. You need to be a part of the "club" to move anywhere in the company. It's not your talent or your hard work that pays off, its who you know and what department you are in. There's no career growth. You'll get the extra work but don't count on being promoted. Its like high school, a lot of gossip and rumors which ruins the morale of the employees.

Pluspunten

Honestly, if you get in, it's a great company with a great group of people (non-managers, that is) and awesome lunches at a very reasonable price (under $5). Plus, having all the Apple benefits certainly helps!

Minpunten

Without ever having an employee evaluation and no advance notice, I was laid off. While this review may come off as bitter, I'll still say I enjoyed working here a lot, like the people, and did become a certified Apple developer. However, management has no feelings or people skills. It's a free for all with everyone fighting for their jobs, every single day. There is no security and zero trust. They promised me one thing when I was hired, and the exact opposite happened. Management holds finances so tightly they never tell any of the non-managers. Also, one of the director's never washed their hands after using the bathroom. You'd think common sense grows as one advances to managerial/executive levels, however, something was clearly amiss here.
