Pluspunten
I worked at SocialChorus for over a year, working closely with every department and personally interacting with the majority of the people within the company. Having worked at multiple startups in San Francisco, and I can tell you with full conviction that SocialChorus is the kind of place that will let you own your own destiny. Managers work with their teams collaboratively to decide which hill to take, and then everyone gets to think and work creatively towards hitting that target. Management at the company treats its employees (prospective, current, and former) with the utmost respect. The CEO is not trying to flip the company for a quick buck, and he works hard to build a sustainable business that makes progress toward aggressive, but reasonable, goals. You will work hard at SocialChorus, and for that you will be rewarded with increasing responsibility and a real voice in the direction of your team and the direction of the company.
Minpunten
The company went through some significant transitions, as many startups do, in 2014 and early 2015. The management team has matured a great deal- both in terms of shifts in philosophy as well as through changes to its roster. These transitions are never easy, and this one certainly took its toll on the company at large. The management team has in the past been slow to adjust to changes in a rapidly evolving market— particularly it has been slow to close doors on some opportunities to focus on the most important ones. That said, I truly believe that SocialChorus is in the best place it has ever been in terms of its team, its focus, and its ever increasing track record of success. The company is ready to leave it’s competition in the dust and fully deliver on its mission.
