Pluspunten
- Perks are competitive - The people you work with are amazing (not always as coworkers, but as friends you want to hang around) - Office space is nice though cramped - If you want to move to a new role outside of your current org, they are usually happy to help get you there
Minpunten
- Salary is well under what people deserve and what the market indicates - Management has no idea what they are doing, usually someone who was promoted before they were ready and has been given little to no support/training - Mass firing recently was handled as well as possible but there was very little follow though on the rest of their plan. Not to mention they seem to be hiring back a lot of the roles that were just laid off so that seems fishy/off. - Sexism is WILD in this office. I've personally been told some nasty things just because I'm a woman (i.e. "your mood is unacceptable, you must be on your period" and the like). Leadership roles are being filled by women as a show of solidarity. And like other managers and upper level staff, they aren't ready or being supported with proper training. - Work-Life balance is non-existent. Startup culture means you work hard, for sure. But there is no support or encouragement for people to take vacation. The bare minimum in support for mental health and therapy. - Teams are planning in silos and no one is as forward looking as they need to be - Don't be fooled by the recent CEO swap. The new one has the potential to be just as useless as the last "man child" who was in power. Not to mention outgoing CEO is still on the board and will likely attempt to play puppeteer to the incoming CEO. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. If the new CEO plans anywhere near as "well" as he did in his previous role, this isn't going to bode well. He's full of creative and aggressive ideas. But he's got to actually plan and action on them properly. Not only take them halfway. - Not a lot of follow-through; there will be a lot of hype for a big initiative one month, and it will be dead the next - If you look at the App store, the 5 star reviews are mostly from people who do work there (or reviewed at the time when they were employed by Flipp)
