Pluspunten
Effectively a choose your own adventure environment. Most employees can do as much or as little as they desire. Some office staff have $200,000+ salaries yet do nothing to advance the company.
Minpunten
The company is a democracy governed by idiots. The goal of increased automation also predicates low-experience personnel who, in a mind-bogglingly backward approach, are effectively given voices in a field they have no experience in. There are no consequences for repeated and simple failures that would be grounds for dismissal from similar companies; employees can fail multiple times to create a set-up that matches a picture yet suffer no reprimand in any form. This has created an environment ruled by the carelessness of people who reached their peak in their 20's and who's reach exceeds their grasp. Leadership is non-existent save from the CEO because no one else has the backbone or authority to implement changes. Office staff are clearly draining funds for no return. Department heads take no ownership of the performance of their teams and so the lazy and ignorant do nothing and collect their pay while the skilled and self-motivated employees have these qualities stripped from them through violations of internal policies. These policies are dictated by aerospace standards, otherwise the company would have few policies at all due to no managerial responsibility. New hires are typically diversity hires to expound the company's modern virtues and appeal to potential investors and on-site visitors. New work is driven by overpaid Yes-men sales personnel that take on work that is not possible with the current skillset and equipment, or overly taxing on manpower. E.g. a new part that requires broaching gear-teeth when no machines are capable of broaching without significant struggle or potential damage. Most employees have no guidance and do not know what they should be doing beyond the simplest moment-to-moment tasks. The company breeds a false sense of accomplishment when the skillset of operators doesn't exceed changing damaged inserts or cutting tools, most of which are left unchecked until destroyed. Many staff, often experienced or educated, attempt to attach themselves to successes that they played no part in. Small projects are assigned to lower employees in private and then claimed by the assigner as their own work. As some managers vie for higher positions they fail to see that none of their perspective matters because they have effected no changes and merely blow smoke up the right ass-ends.
