The high exec manager is very good at not showing any of the higher ups this behavior, therefore it becomes a "the employee's word versus the manager's word" environment. Though the CEO is very transparent, it's difficult to understand how well the company is actually doing. Upper management spends a lot of time talking about potential. Potential sales, potential revenue, but it is pretty unclear if the company is financially succeeding or failing. If financial stability is important for you, consider that before taking the job.
