- Very hard driving. It's all about driving success to shareholders at any cost
- It feels more like working for corporate America than a British publisher is useful to know
- Sudden restructures and layoffs are rife, it's like it's part of the company strategy
- Some good people but it's a weary environment where no one seems to be having a nice time in their job at all
-Lots of stress and burnout
-Lack of new employee onboarding: I think I was straight into the CMS first day. Never received much company support overall but expected to continuously hit targets.
- Rather than hire new people, they often pull existing staff onto other projects without warning
- Lack of employee care in general such as progression, learning and development
- Can be pulled up for taking too much holiday time when it's within normal boundaries
- Salaries vary but some are nowhere near enough to cover the impact this business can have on your mental health. It acts like a U.S company but it doesn't pay like one.
- You are not a human being at Future, you're a number on a spreadsheet churning out "success" - but it doesn't matter how you perform. Numbers get cut. Rinse, repeat.
