Pluspunten
Some of the day-to-day colleagues were genuinely helpful, friendly, and easy to work with. The Dublin office environment was generally pleasant, and the role gave me exposure to a wide range of IT support, onboarding, office support, troubleshooting, and internal systems work. I also had opportunities to assist with wider IT issues and project-style work, which was useful experience. Locally, I built good working relationships and felt that many people appreciated the support provided.
Minpunten
Although the arrangement was formally set up through an agency, the day-to-day reality was very different. In practice, I worked as part of GLG’s internal operation: I worked fixed hours, used GLG systems, supported GLG employees directly, attended internal meetings, handled onboarding and IT support, and reported into GLG management. Because of that, the distinction between “agency/contract arrangement” and actual employee-style work felt very blurred. In my view, the practical reality did not match the way the arrangement was labelled. Communication around role status, continuation, and offboarding was poor. Near the end of my time there, I found the process opaque and confusing. Important decisions appeared to have been made before clear information was provided to me, and I did not feel I was given a fair or transparent opportunity to understand or respond to concerns before the engagement ended. The overall experience left me with serious concerns about how GLG handles agency worker arrangements, internal communication, and offboarding.
