There was a noticeable shift in workplace culture starting in 2024, following some changes in leadership and key team members leaving the company. - Promotions and raises are slow. Even if someone was recognized as a high performer, it's difficult to receive ratings beyond “meets expectations” due to rigid KPI structures. The evaluation system can feel discouraging and disconnected from individual contributions. - Employee feedback often goes unheard. Sprint retrospectives and planning sessions don’t seem to lead to change. Estimations provided by the team are frequently questioned and sometimes overruled, causing pressure to shorten timelines. - Promises made by leadership have not always been followed through. In 2024, layoffs occurred despite prior assurances that they wouldn’t. Unfortunately, a similar situation happened again in 2025. - Job security feels unstable. Some employees have been unexpectedly called into meetings and let go with little warning or opportunity to discuss terms.

The most important thing in a job is to like who you work with. The Gappify team is amazing--lots of smart people with the drive to build an innovative product and leaders who genuinely care about their teams.

Minpunten

Work-life balance can be challenging but having a strong team certainly helps and makes it enjoyable even if there is a lot to do.
