The pay and benefits are rewarding and competitive, and Genentech continues to find ways to appreciate the contributions of employees. The culture is focused on the science, and I do believe that every employee cares about the patients.

It can be difficult to maintain an adequate work/life balance. This is pretty dependent on your immediate management. The culture overall encourages it, but it varies between departments.
