Pluspunten

I joined the company a few months ago. It was the best career decision I have ever made. Thye company lives up to being a true employer of choice. The pay is top notch. The benefits package is generous to a fault. Example: in the midst of the recession most companies are cuting back on benefits - not Genentech! They actually expanded our company match (and it is all 100% immediately vested)! The leaders in the compnay spend significant amounts of time with employees and developing talent plans. There are numerous cross functional employee committees that assist with driving nuermous aspects of the business. So, employee engagement is very strong. In the end, we are all here because we believe in what the company is doing for the benefit of patients suffering from seroius and life-threatening medical conditions. All of us feel that this is much more than just a job - it is a personal mission.

Minpunten

As a large and expanding organization - it can be a challenge at times negotiating through the global corporation network to find needed resources.

Pluspunten

Genentech's origin story and mission are genuinely inspiring — few companies can point to such a meaningful historical arc in medicine. Patient engagement is taken seriously and feels authentic, not performative. The campus is beautiful and the culture has real warmth.

Minpunten

DDA is operating with significant gaps. First, the foundational data infrastructure is not mature enough to support the ambitions being set for the team. Second, the measurement culture has gotten ahead of the methodology, and no one in a position of authority seems to be asking hard questions about whether the numbers actually mean what they're being presented as meaning. Third, some management feel disconnected from the work itself, lacking the knowledge, hands-on experience, or relevant credentials. Individually any one of these would be manageable. Together these create an environment where it's hard to do rigorous work, rather work is performative, and be recognized for it.
