Pluspunten
1) Fast-paced environment! 2) Opportunity to take ownership of projects. 3) Senior (top-level) management take ownership (they lead by example; opposite of what I see in most companies this size) 4) Senior management will listen and solicit constructive feedback for ideas on improvement (emphasis on 'constructive' - no manager wants to hear how well someone can complain and point out problems (bring a solution to the table and chances are they'll listen) 5) Company growth 6) Actively looking for ways to grow manufacturing in the U.S. and still be profitable against Asian importers with American branding. 7) Stability through sensible top-level management; I've never witnessed a layoff or downsizing of perm. employees (again uncommon for a company this size in a tough economy)
Minpunten
1) Would like to see the slackers and whiners shown the door sooner, they're a distraction to the rest of us actually working to improve the business. 2) Promoting from within seems disproportioned to the company's growth. There has been the expressed concern with the recent influx of outside candidates filling high level positions (VP and Director level). This perception has discouraged some and generated animosity, leading to the loss of a few good employees seeking advancement elsewhere. Well some new blood can be healthy for the business, too much can taint what was already good. 3) Would like to see more accountability with the newer management blood coming in (i.e. performance expectations should be met and excuses left at the door).
