Pluspunten
Colleagues, opportunities to travel, interesting work (in very limited fields), reputation, at one time a place for people with initiative/ideas/risk takers to flourish, ability to build up a good network. Golder Trust for Orphans a positive. If you can 'talk the talk' and your face fits then you can do well. Employee ownership has some positives. Culture and values ten years ago were spot on.
Minpunten
Woeful management, promotion from within simply reinforces mistakes, male/engineering dominated despite what the label says. More targets than a rifle range; and a lot less accurate. A baffling approach of removing fee earners for 'not meeting targets' whilst continually building support staff. Very much clique driven with the illusion of 'ownership' but in reality strategy is set by a small cabal who look after their chums no matter what. Outdated strategies that may work in Canada but less successful elsewhere.
