Too many. The worst thing about working there was the culture of fear and too many managers on your back, criticisng you for everything like it was the army, not a jewellers. There are Managers, Assistant Managers, and Supervisors. The assistant managers and supervisors act like bullies, even if the Manager is decent. There are more managers than staff and they pick on everything you do and if you make suggestions you are scorned. There is a clique culture and if you're not part of the clique and are either older, a trainee or part-time, you are not taken seriously. Only some of the staff are allowed to sell the expensive watches and so get all the commission. Everyone else is treated as 2nd rate. I got screamed up for touching one of the expensive watches. I was given no training on my first day. The manager was too busy so someone who'd been there 2 weeks was training me! You have to do hours of online training, half of which you'll never remember. You are texted at all hours and told off for everything for putting something in the wrong place to leaving something in the staff room. There was also hardly any jewellery stock, it was all watches and customers were taken much more seriously if they were buying a rolex. It was so disappointing working there. I'd bully. I'm so glad i resigned.
