Pluspunten
Now I have worked at the company for a year and it being the strangest/most difficult year I have ever experienced, I could not be happier to work for a company that cares about its employees as much.
I have worked for a number of different businesses, from small family run, all the way through to one of the largest companies in the world, certainly the largest in its sector. I can honestly say Goodlord have found the perfect balance of caring for their employees like the small family run businesses but also having huge ambitions for the future.
There is a lot of promotion within and they reward people for their hard work and recognise talent and help people progress. In every job I have worked in, I felt as though I have needed to “move on to move up” but that could not be further from the way I feel at Goodlord.
The People team are incredible. They often check in to see how everyone is, make sure birthdays and special occasions are celebrated and go out of their way to make sure the staff are comfortable and ok(a difficult task in the past 12 months.) Having a young family, they are always looking at ways they can help us if they can. When I speak to friends and ex colleagues about how I am treated the are always very envious.
My direct managers and team leaders are always there to offer advice, training and support when I need it but also reward hard work. It’s great that they have progressed within the company as they have learnt from their own experiences and are really adaptable to suit different requirements.
The senior management team are very transparent (much more than I am used to) with what’s happening, the good and bad which is nice and makes me feel comfortable with the ways things are going.
My direct colleagues are great too. It is a broad mix of backgrounds, ethnicities and opinions but it’s a mix that works. We all respect each other and everyone has been very supportive especially when I first started and needed to learn the job.
In summary, I genuinely couldn’t wish to work for a more friendly, bubbly and supportive company and I hope my time at Goodlord lasts for many years to come.
