I love most of my coworkers, and I stay because of the manager. She is absolutely amazing but more often than not has her hands tied.
Minpunten
The pay is $17/ hour so fast food workers will make more than you. They include your tips as part of your pay, so you hold no value as an employee at $17/hour. There is no structure, which leads to poor customer service. The expectations are non existent, and they don't follow the employee hand book. You basically can do what ever you want with no consequences. However, they will write you up for absolutely everything. The leadership in this franchise is old and out dated, and most of the time is non existent. You can be the worst employee ever and not lose your job. Because of all the failure of leadership the business is slow. Great Clips as a corporation should be way more involved. Everybody across the board is losing money from the stylists, who go into this industry to make a living, the owner who has to be losing money, and the corporation who is also losing money. This would be a great place to work if a fair wage was paid. This would be a great place to work if the franchise had strong leadership and let the managers do their job. This would be a great place to work if Great Clips as a corporation set stronger guidelines for pay and consistency of leadership. They don't. Workers are exploited at $17/hour. They are skilled labor. If Great Clips wants to be Great then do something Great. The response Great Clips will give to this review will be to separate themselves from the franchise. To be a great company everyone has to be involved. Voices need to be heard and action need to be taken. Dont work for this company until change is made
