HBG has antiquated leadership, and the overall vibe of a sinking ship. The higher-ups are still running this place like its 1995. Employees don't own the firm; it was sold to off a couple years ago which has only resulted in slashing bonuses and spending cuts everywhere which are evident around the office. HR seems to come up with policies on the spot that often don't make sense or contradict other policies (including using your own "benefit time" during times when internet goes out, weather-related closures, etc.). Culture is extremely lacking, and work-life balance is chalked-up to WFH one day a week. Onboarding is a mess and so is the "yearly" review process. As others have said, the offices are disconnected and if projects go on hold, leadership panics and doesn't have proper business development plans in place to keep work coming.
