Pluspunten

This is your typical start up story of where everything seems shiny and awesome and the “culture” is so great and the company boasts all this “transparency” and the perks and swag and the hoo rah and the kool-aid all taste good. Most people who work here, have had little to no startup or previous tech experience so given that this is their first, it creates this air of naïveness because there’s really nothing to compare it to. The best part about this company is the generous time off, PTO and wellness days that they provide.

Minpunten

This company - and the E staff and managers who work for it - probably use the word “transparent” at least once a week. They pride themselves on being this ultra transparent company, which, in fact their transparency is actually just poor execution, inept management, failed organization, and a product that is limited in both its scope, capabilities and customer base. This place tries so hard to be like something else and something that it’s not. My experience with multiple managers and the HR team is that they have little to no life or work experience to make them quality in their roles, which just adds to the dissolution. They like to promise that roles are a stepping stone for something greater or a foot in the door, but then don’t give any advancement. The salary for certain roles is also below average and the lack of annual or COL raises is disappointing and a fail.

Management will not tell you how to do your job They (everyone) are open to ideas, just need a good pitch A bunch of smart people wherever you look

Minpunten

You will rarely chat with the top 3 layers of the organization. They are open and can chat with them, but truth is that they are always busy and the preferred way of communication is through your manager.

The people are great, it's what makes the company special. Exciting traction in the market to go with it.

Minpunten

Prioritization is a struggle, and Hover will always jump at large customer requests without thinking through all the implications. Projects that might take longer than a quarter are rarely prioritized.
