Pluspunten

Fast paced environment; good for social personalities; never a dull moment; average day is filling multiple roles so boredom is not something to worry about. For part time employees, extra hours are ALWAYS available due to the high number of call-outs/no-shows.

Minpunten

It's retail (grocery) - the customer is the boss, the owner, the manager, the rule enforcer. Industry turnover is 40%. Harris Teeter turnover is closer to 60%. Attendance and punctuality are taught as important but never enforced to to risk of losing more employees. Recruiting is terrible as best. This lack of productive recruiting results in the prolonged need to keep you in your current position/role even though you may clearly better the company by being in a more advance role.

Decent people, make connections, pay, and hours are just okay.

Minpunten

Management sucks. If you fall victim to bullying, nobody cares/does anything. Working there from 16 to now (barely anymore), it was hard to be happy at all about going in when working with a specific manager who constantly nitpicked and talked behind your back.
